Grounding Yourself in the Divine Feminine

Last night I did a meditation to develop more of a sense of security within myself. It’s part of a class that I’ve been taking the past few months. The teacher guided us through a visualization where we became aware of our connection with the Divine.

My intuition kept pointing me towards the Divine Feminine in the form of an ancient egyptian goddess, a mix of Isis & Astarte. My family is originally Lebanese, on my mom’s side, and both were popular in the general region. The one in the picture is Hathor (at the British Museum).

My intuition followed through with a clear message: imagine a matrushka - the Mother Goddess is on the outside, then your Higher Self, then you. Like cosmic Aura layers. These visuals weren’t part of the guided meditation, but they made perfect sense. I loved the metaphor, and funny enough, the past few days I had found myself questioning the concept of a Higher Self.

This clicked for me and it also resonates from a kabbalistic point of view, in terms of the different parts of the Soul; a little piece of us is connected to that outer most matrushka. There are also parallels in how that feminine energy is described in Kabbalistic books and my favorite Green Tara book. There are obvious variations for each time and culture, but there is a common thread that in the concepts.

My feeling is that each culture perceives that divine feminine energy through its lens. The easiest way to get a sense of that energy  is in intuitive meditations!

Finding our Way to Inner Peace 🕊

I took a Reiki class on Monday - taught by William Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training. His school offers energy upgrades for Reiki Masters and this one was focused on World Peace. It was awesome, I honestly feel less anxiety floating around my subconscious.

The class was meant to help us cope with what seems like never ending stress and escalating conflict, with the world coming out of the pandemic, into a war.

At the time I had all of these intuitions about the absence of peace and where it comes from. I want to share my thoughts, as best I can, because a lot of it has slipped away.

Thoughts on The Absence of Peace:

  • Biological Stress and Anxiety: In some cases stress or turmoil might be due to chemical imbalances in the brain. This is not my area of work, but a person would benefit from seeing a mental health professional. One of my friends has a PhD in genetics and mental health conditions. She works with people who are affected by their DNA and not just their circumstances. Coincidentally, lifestyle factors do influence our mRna, as discussed in my first book, A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love (2013).
  • Stressful Situations: There is the chaos and alarming news of the past few years, which added to our usual stress levels. The brain is wired to keep an eye out for threats and emergencies, no doubt a remnant of our survival and wilderness days - which are only a few centuries behind us. The amygdala is triggered when we are stressed; the body goes into fight, flight or freeze mode. In time, we may find ourselves in a state of constant stress. This lowers our immune system, as physical energy is redirected to crisis management.
  • We all have individual joys, concerns and responsibilities (life!). This may be what we think about on a day-to-day basis, but the collective adds weight to our shoulders.
  • Health & Financial Worries. The pandemic put both of these under a huge stress-test, even at odds with each other. My blog has international readership; the experience will have varied for those in the USA or Europe vs India or Mexico. When it comes to individual health concerns, it's not just covid - there are so many things to think about. Reiki & meditation have been great stress-relief tools for me and with the World Peace Upgrade, I feel like it goes deeper even though it’s only been a few days.
  • Your mental chatter is a big one too. Stress relief tools & meditation are essential, so long as we include meditations to calm the mind and to process underlying emotions.
  • In terms of healing the rift, I'm a fan of combining conventional health care (or economic measures) with coping mechanisms and a bit of soul healing. As mentioned in my Self-Healing, Cancer & Love book, Reiki is one option but there are lots of things that we can do to bring a sense of peace into our lives. Here is an intro to meditation from a cancer survivor conference. And obviously, counseling is wonderful too!
  • The macro level is beyond our control - this is where a lot of stress and uncertainty come from. What matters is that we have coping tools, that we focus on what is in front of us, and that we lean on each other! 💙💙
  • Let's Meditate Together (Join me on Youtube🔗🕊  Energy healing aims to address the points listed below.

  • War and Violence: This one is the toughest to address. As reiki practitioners, we learn to use the distance reiki symbol in the 2nd level. This is used to send Reiki to the root cause of a problem, or to send Reiki across time and space (sounds like science fiction!) When there is a natural disaster or a crisis, we send Reiki with then intention to alleviate suffering. Ideally we'd also send Reiki to people causing that pain, so that they stop acting out and hurting others. It’s always the damaged parts of human nature that create havoc. We send healing to underlying the causes and to any collective patterns or narratives.

Conflict has been around forever, but the ego/saboteur in all of us has to become exhausted and redirected in a functional direction. It feels hopeless when the conflict is at a distance, but I believe that we do have a bigger chance of healing our corners of the world because we are part of them.

  • It’s important to look at our own damaged parts - William Rand calls it the unhealed parts of our ego. What part of me feels anger, envy, jealousy or hurt? Are there voids that I try to fill with approval, status or competitive behavior? We can also send Reiki to people around us who cause pain, and to their dysfunctional patterns.
  • There is an element of Free Will when it comes to Distant Reiki. In healing school, we were taught to ask our intuition for permission before sending healing to someone else. We can also set the intention for it to flow to someone who needs it, if by chance, the intended recipient rejects it on a Soul or Higher Self level.
  • Grief & Emotional Pain: This one is tough too. How do we process feelings like grief, anger, anguish or even hatred and revenge? (We do live in that world). In 2019 I wrote a post called The Mechanics of Forgivenessan essential step on the road to peace, but curiously, not the most important one. Reiki is wonderful and I swear by it, but we need strong emotional skills from an early age. We may need counseling as well as a deep cultural shift. To quote my book, A Personal Guide to Self-Healing, Cancer & Love:

We need to learn to work with our emotions on a daily basis so that our lives are empowered by our changing mood states and not held hostage by them - Regina Chouza

Connect with Archangel Raziel

I have been meaning to upload a meditation with Archangel Raziel for months and last night I finally got around to it! It was worth the wait - the angel of the stars always has a mystical surprise for us.

Archangel Raziel is the angel of astrology and mysticism. He is most often mentioned in kabbalistic texts. I learned to connect with him in the weekly meditations that I used to attend at my psychic school in London. At the time I was thinking about taking Kabbalah classes and in the meditations with Raziel, I kept seeing spheres of light. These were hints of the Tree of Life

I also wanted to find a visual tool that would help me organize the different things that I was studying; I found it in the tarot deck that’s mentioned in the livestream.

Watch the video HERE

Hope you enjoy the meditation! Join me on Facebook for more.

Reiki hugs,

A Meditation to Bring Forth Your Light

I have been in Mexico for three weeks now, after almost two years abroad, and gosh it's been interesting. Apparently my body has lost touch with the ecosystem; my first week here I ate all the tacos and then regretted it LOL (Moctezuma isn't my friend).

Today I had a fun surprise - my new tripod arrived! I recorded a chakra healing meditation with the angels to celebrate. In this meditation we focus on the manifesting chakras (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus) and on the Heart. These chakras give us presence and power in our daily lives.

There have been so many times when I promised myself I'd livestream meditations on social media but never got around to it. Here's to new beginnings, and to fulfilled promises in 2022!

I still have a bit of a cold - hope it was relaxing anyway!

Reiki hugs,

Regina

Archangel Jophiel: The Light of Wisdom, Beauty and Inspiration

Some of the archangels resonate with different personality types; I've always had my mind on overdrive. It is one of the reasons why I got into meditation. The angel that can help us clear our mind and bring in a ray of sunlight is none other than Archangel Jophiel! His yellow light filters through the mental Aura layer, where writer's block and other creativity blocks can be released or transmuted.

You can ask that he open your mind to other ways of thinking, which plays a big part in getting out of a rut. A closed mind will quickly paint you into a corner.

A Golden Meditation:

You can call on Archangel Jophiel by taking a few breaths, grounding yourself, and visualizing your Aura filled with gold light. Light a candle and ask Archangels Michael & Jophiel to approach you.

Visualize a swirl of light clearing away anything that blocks your inner vision. If you have a pen or a set of crayons nearby, start to draw or write and see what comes up for you! Let inspiration flow!

If you're familiar with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, each of the ten spheres on the tree relates to a quality that we can connect with to heal ourselves and the world. I have been meaning to write a post about our Personal Tree for months, but it ends up being really long (still simplifying it).

The idea is that the archangels, including Archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, can help us connect with spheres that resonate with their energy. In the past, I've always felt like Archangel Jophiel was missing from the angelic correspondences in books and other sources.

Last year I discovered a book called The Angel Bible by Hazel Raven. It's the first time I've seen a diagram of the Tree that includes Jophiel. She associates Archangels Michael and Jophiel with the dimension of HOD. This sphere represents the Mind (Jophiel) and communication, but also how we assert ourselves in the physical world (Michael) and the karma it creates.

My intuition tells me that Archangels Michael and Jophiel work together so that we can see all of our options, taking the route that leads us to victory - and without hurting others in the process.

By the way, The Angel Bible's description of HOD differs from what I've seen elsewhere, especially which spheres relate to rational thought vs emotional drives. I think this can be explained by the gender ascribed to each of the Tree's Pillars. But Archangel Jophiel helps with creativity and rational thought, bringing us into balance.

The Indian & Tibetan River of Buddhism (Class Review)

I’m enrolled in an online class at Columbia University called The Indian & Tibetan River of Buddhism. Signed up when quarantine began and I am glad I did. The class is taught by Dr Robert Thurman - one of the founders of Tibet House in NYC and Uma's dad. I am enjoying it. We are only on the second week but I wanted to share it now as you will still be able to sign up

We’ve covered the history of Buddhism: what society, culture and government were like 2600 years ago and why the Buddha's approach to happiness, compassion and freedom was appealing to so many people, especially freedom from the hierarchy of the caste systems. It also feels like a  lot of the concepts are still relevant today, for example, the study of the nature of reality and how we can find happiness.

The class looks at the concepts of Dharma (as far as I can tell, a search for truth), the Eightfold Path and how these lay the groundwork for enlightenment through meditation. To become enlightened is to have your human mind grow to the point where it is obvious that we are interconnected and that personal gain is an illusion*. When someone else hurts or is in pain, a part of us is too and doesn't know it.

Before we align ourselves with the collective's happiness, as part of a win-win scenario, we have to work on our inner selves and find our own happiness. Your happiness always comes first, and that isn’t necessarily dependent on external factors. It also helps to have an understanding of what it means for everyone to win. This made me think about why it is important to heal ourselves, working through anger, doubt or sadness -  and to express those feelings by journaling or other means, rather than suppressing our emotions.

To quote Professor Thurman:
"Only a self-fulfilled truly happy person can embrace the happiness of others as his or her own heart-felt goal"

The other thing that I loved about Professor Thurman's class is his interpretation of meditation in one of the last steps of the Eightfold Path. When the texts speak of meditation, the translation is not just to meditate / concentrate - but to bring into (your) Being the quality that you are meditating on. This resonates 100% from an Energy Healing and intuition point of view because whenever I have tried to connect with Buddha, I kept getting the message to meditate on Happiness and I didn't know that that meant  😅

Buddhism emphasizes love, compassion and impartiality - though it is not selfish to want to be happy, as I had to remind myself. Please join me in meditating on health and happiness. Start by grounding yourself so that it is easier for you to relax.

* My View of Personal Gain: We do have individual needs and aspirations and it’s unhealthy to deny that. Maybe “having it all” means the personal and the collective are satisfied, but for that to happen, we have to get over the ego’s whims and insecurities.

👉🏻 Read my book Chakra Healing & Magick: the things that we think will make us happy are often just placeholders 💛

Reiki hugs,

Regina

Archangel Haniel: Intuition, Courage, and Passion

The past month I have been doing Angel Readings and healing sessions at WeWork. One of the big surprises has been how many people book angel readings out of curiosity. It is not that they want guidance; they just want to know what angels are like in person.

Angel readings have taken a turn and we begin with a guided intuition meditation to clear and protect our space before activating our intuition and calling on the archangels.

People tend to perceive the angels in different ways. Many feel temperature changes or heaviness in their arms, legs and feet when Archangel Michael comes in. A few have sensed flowers, fragrances or music. The more often we meditate, the clearer the impressions become.

Archangel Haniel has been coming through in more and more sessions. Her light comes through as pink or red fire depending on the energy that we need in our lives. The softer side involves intuition, emotions and healing, complementing Archangel Raphael's masculine healing energy.

Haniel's red fire brings courage and passion - a feminine counterpart to Archangel Michael's strength protection. Both are awesome, but Archangel Haniel's fire carries a passionate punch.

You will find a guided meditation with Archangel Haniel on YouTube HERE; connect with Haniel and channel her firepower and passion. Or read Chakra Healing & Magick and learn to connect with the archangels in clairvoyant meditations, available worldwide on Amazon!

Please let me know how it feels and if you are able to sense her energy! I am curious about recordings vs live sessions.

Thank you for reading Diary of a Psychic Healer!

Reiki hugs,

Regina
