Angel Cards vs iPhone Apps

A friend of the family came over this week to learn about angels. She asked how I got into healing, intuition, and was it a gift? I think its a gift we all have. Learning to follow your intuition is like learning to play the piano, we can all learn to read music, sound out the keys and have fun with the songs. Its true that some people might pick it up quicker, more seamlessly. Maybe they've done it in past lives.

But we can all learn. Everyone can. Especially with the wonderful tools at our disposal. I learned to do psychic readings at the College of Psychic Studies, where we'd start with a nice, long meditation. My tutor taught us to start by grounding and protecting ourselves before taking the journey. The beginners meditation started with us imagining a door in front of us. Open the door, step through it. You come into a hallway, find a staircase leading downwards, and we go down one step at a time (putting us in a relaxed mode). From there the teacher would guide us to different locations without describing our surroundings in too much detail. Your imagination brings it to life for you.

After the meditation we'd write down what we saw and then talk about it. The psychic messages were in the things we'd seen. The colour of that door, how heavy it was. What was the scene like on the other side? And then the place we traveled to, what it looked like, who we saw there. My destination was often full of book. A lot like the library in Beauty and the Beast. I love reading, learning, writing. Its in my Spiritual DNA. After a few sessions, we started going on guided tours of our classmate's spiritual hideouts. That was amazing. I might not see it the same way they did, but I'd interpret what I saw and would then give them a message. Sometimes we'd interpret it together.

Of course, this takes lots and lots of practice. Lots of meditation. Angel Cards, Tarot Cards, i Ching, the runes and other tools can give us a short cut. Just ask a question, pull a card and see what comes up. I pulled a few cards for our family friend this week and then encouraged her to buy her own deck, as she really seemed to enjoy it. Most of the decks I own are available printed, though you can also buy an iPhone or iPad app. Personally, I'm pretty comfortable with electronics and I use these more than the physical decks. Somehow, the cards always seem to be relevant. On this particular occasion, I pulled 8 cards from my "physical" decks and then 4 on my iPhone. Would you believe me if I told you that three of the cards I pulled on my iPhone also came up on the first reading, with the physical deck? What are the chances? I honestly believe it was the angels demonstrating that it makes no difference which you use. My favourite decks I'll even end up buying twice, to have both.

My favourite decks for beginners are these:

      The Radiant Rider Waite

The Wizard's Tarot Deck

Angel Therapy Cards

This isn't Tarot but still one  of my faves
